Week 12

Social networking would be very usefull within our communnity especially to those living out of town. Many cannot get to meetings eg book clubs all the time but these networks could keep them in touch. However the biggest heardle is that not all have access to internet in our area and those who could really benefit are often of the older generation and are not familiar with computers.

Week 11
Great way of getting documents around and getting feedback. Would save a lot of time and the end product most of the time would be of a higher quality with feedback coming from many sources.
How much time do we have. Week 8 Answer boards and social searching
Touring around this weeks activity and the mind boggles with what comes up in front of me.These answer boards give people an open book to whatever they may be questioning or being able to contribute their knowledge to someone else.
Week 9 Podcasts and audio
Found the podcasts but the audio did not happen. Can only imagine what we might have heard if IT system was to allow us access. Online training could be simplified with some tuition on line that would be much more helpful than trying to read and work our way through sights that we are not sure how to move through.

today i have been searching around Library Thing. I have created an account and entered 5 books into it but I still dont seem to be able to link these sites to my blog.
What a great way of beeing able to find what other books are out there written by some of our favourite authers that arnt available to us in our own library systems.

have just been into del.icio.us but was unable to get tool bar onto library computers. This could be very helpfull to many within the library system .Having quick access to favourites for readers and being able to see what others see as their favourites. So easy to get to.being able to access your favourite sites from anywhere is what is really appealing.
